Okay so I have been pondering this one. I was out in the greenhouse today coaxing the fragile seeds to emerge, and there were the tiny onions poking up, folded over, bent in half (if you see), pushing up through the starting soil. They come up bent and then within days straighten up to meet the sunlight. So goes my day.
